DICE hire Desert Combat team to make game
The Desert Combat developers get the chance to work with one of the most successful studios at the moment.

Battlefield 1942 developer, Digital Illusions, have entered an agreement with the Desert Combat team, Trauma Studios, which will result in a yet-unspecified game. The two companies will develop the title together, however Digital Illusions will pay the estimated costs of $550.000 during the next 12 months.
“We soon became aware of the Desert Combat mod’s brilliance. The mod has contributed significantly to Battlefield 1942’s popularity and has helped us selling many games,” said Digital Illusions’ Patrick Söderlund.
Trauma Studios have specialised in developing strategy- and wargames. The have registered more than 3 million downloads of the Desert Combat mod so far.
