Terminator 3 Details released

With the film of Terminator 3:Rise of the Machines set for release on July 2nd, Atari has released some more details of the game it has been working on. Following the events taking place in the film, the game will put players in control of the Arnold Schwarzenegger character. For the first time in any videogame the likeness and voice of Schwarzenegger will be used for the player character. The game will feature around 5 minutes of additional video footage filmed specifically for the game and not available in the film. It will also use movie footage to setup the scenes in the game.

Playing as the Terminator, gamers will be placed in the apocalyptic future and in present day Los Angeles. This allows the developers to include futuristic and modern weapons in the game. Over 20 unique locations are included in the game which are all taken from the current Terminator timeline. This is set to include a scene where the player controls the Terminator before it is reprogrammed to save John Connor allowing players to play alongside SkyNet and use its advanced weaponry.

Look for a release this Autumn.
